Lolita

Pencil

Lolita is a comic I created in connection with a school project at the Royal Danish Academy (KADK) in 2016, addressing the objectification of women.

It follows a bitter man who is tired of dating women with their independence and ever-changing nature, and therefore prefers to date sex dolls instead.

It is my perspective on the expectations and objectification that popular culture and societal norms have imposed on womanhood over time — that women must not age or become too independent. Naturally, it is taken to an extreme and approached from a comedic / tragicomic angle
